In Badakhshan province March 4 was covered with snow village dispensary with a population of about 200 people. It is known that the victims of an avalanche are more than 50 people, now the police and residents of neighboring villages are trying to dig out from under the rubble of those who might have survived.

The situation is complicated by the fact that the rescue teams to reach the area until the incident could not because the roads are blocked with snow, and the use of helicopters could lead to a descent of new avalanches, ITAR-TASS reported.

According to meteorologists, last winter in Afghanistan has become the most severe in the past 15 years.
Only in the mountainous province of Badakhshan over the past few months from avalanches killed 90 people.

Avalanche at the village dispensary located near the border with Tajikistan, was preceded by several days of heavy snow, followed by the warming. Experts say that the threat of further avalanches remains high, especially given the fact that next week again expected snowfall, but in the last few days the temperature rose.
